Another month has past.
I miss home more than I thought I would. Maybe it's the recent bad weather or maybe I'm too worn out from those overnight mugging.
There are many times when I feel like returning although I really love my time here.
Each day, I'm learning more about myself and learning how to cope and manage my emotions. And being alone here, I feel there's an insidious force that pushes myself forward.
I'm going to set my mind on just one end point before I head back. And I'll take each step with optimism. I know the sun will shine wherever I am.

I need more courage this week.

I was supposed to meet Hye Young for dinner today cause it's her birthday!! But that poor girl, she has an exam till 8pm today so the whole celebration is off!! Now I have so much spare time on hand, I don't know what to do. I have one more paper next monday but I've decided to give myself a break today.

After so many weeks, I finally met Meiyan and JX, and Keith and their friends yesterday. Thanks to Keith, he brought me so many stuff from Singapore!!! My coffee, milo and Super cereal are stocked up! And strepsils from Ms ting, omg you don't know how much pain I had to go through just to look for one. Apparently logenzes can't be found there!
But i have got to menetion, Keith lost my nutella. He had to throw it away at the airport!! Now I got to start rationing the remaining half a bottle of Nutella which Yuexin sent over. Maybe god wants me to cut down on choclate. I gained 1 inch of fats!! I got to wait till I met Chuikhim on Friday or Saturday when she'll pass me my sneakers then I can start jogging. I've decided to exercise!!

I lost my umbrella at Keith's guesthouse last night. And I missed the last bus to Inha. Cold and rainy, I was thinking of how I should tell the cab driver where I needed to go as I headed over to the taxi stand. Then this guy approached me and asked if I'm going to Inha. So we shared the cab. After we reached the backgate, he offered me his umbrella. I was so lucky!!

I'm going to take a nap now. I hope someone has programs for me later!

I didn't want to blog until next Tuesday after I finished 3 papers but I've to make an exception cos Joan delighted me with a mail on Thursday morning!! I was feeling so tired and pondering if I should attend class. Finally I dragged my feet to my desk and found myself a mail!! This came so unexpcectedly and really brightened up my day!

She got me a notebook cause she said that the Korean address on the cover reminded her of me. I miss you girls so much!

These days I wonder if I am too introspective and maybe too sensitive. I wonder if I should trust and choose to disbelieve. I hate being so naive and I feel like a fool. I feel so dumb to think that everyone is nice I perceive them to be. Maybe Monica's right. I expect too much. I wish I'm back into the arms of the people who love me and will protect me from being hurt.

I've been blog surfing for the past few hours but there's not much to see. No one updated their blogs!
I'm going to post some pictures for cousin to admire before I start mugging for my mid terms. Korean oral testerday wasn't that bad afterall. Thanks to Kiddy for correcting my mispronounciations and for studying with me on Sunday.
I have 2 papers on Monday and 1 on Tuesday, and the last one on the following Monday.

I'll try not to blog this week but there's so much difficulties trying to bring myself to focus.

Shopping and dinner with Xiao Xing as she had to return to Beijing for a week plus to settle her graduation stuff today. I'm so going to miss her! Last picture on the right: Coffee Prince cafe - Night shot.


I think Korean student are more-mugger than SMU students. They take, on average 7 modules each term and filled up the library since week 2. As expected, I had no place to study cause I woke up late on Sunday. So I ended up studyin in the park with Juyoung. It was quite an experience. Good thing the weather was good! But I lost my favourite pencil :(

My lousy body still hasn't adjust to the weather here. I'm still peeling and feeling so dry. Finally I got fever. Just wanted to show you the environmentally-friendly packaging.

Spring is finally here!
It seems like the flowers grown overnight. The tress are dressed with white, yellow and pink flowers, making Inha alive once again. This beautiful sight, I wonder if will ever get to see it again and with the same state of mind.

I really love Korea and the AlphaChi people. Yesterday Xiao Xing called me while I was at Homever with Hye Young doing Skinfood shopping for Stef. They were drinking in the lawn in front of the school library and asked me to join them. It really feels good sitting on the grass, drinking, chatting and doing lots of nonsense with them. A pity we can't do that in campus green without geting all sweaty and bitten by mosquitoes.
Mid term is around the corner yet I don't feel any sense of panicky around. If only things were the same in SMU.

It's polling day so I got an additional holiday today. I'm going to Yeouido to see the Cherry blossom later. Hope it doesn't rain.

I am well aware of how every memory here will be missed when I return home. This is all like a dream to me, a pleasant one.

I'm back from my MT-members' training I think, and I really had a wonderful time. We went cycling but because I can't cycle on my own, I shared the twin one with my new fren, Jason. The weather thankfully was warm yesterday so as the cool breeze blew on my face, I felt so contented.
I have this thought for a moment that if there isn't any tomorrow, I'm glad I came here. I'm glad I did this exchange cause it made me appreciative of many little things in life.
From now on, I will treasure what I have at any point in time because it may be gone the next.

Sometimes we want what we think we want, not knowing that perhaps this isn't what we want afterall. I wish my life would be more hyped up and satisfying. But sometimes I wish for peace in me and that things are simple and nice. Which do I choose so that I won't regret?

I think I've mentioned previously there was an Open House in the Dormitory. So on Friday, I was pleasantly surprised by the decoration, balloons and programs lined up with the dorm people. It's just like a funfair. There were free candy floss and drinks, manicure services, tarot reading (which I will go if I can understand Korean) and some gaming thingy.

Try to figure out are in the pics (I'm too tired to caption): My dorm security guard, Kyung Min from my MIS class, and my neighbours Xinyu and Xiao Xing.



So only once a term, the girls are allowed into the guy's dorm and vice versa, so I paid Kyung Min a visit. haha. He actually spent the morning cleaning up just to welcome me ok! Look at his twin room which I wanted so badly! How huge and airy!



So after a very filling dinner in the dormitory cafeteria, I went over to meet up with Meiyan and all for Clubbing at Gangnam. It was Club day but NB there wasn't as crowded as the one in Hongdae. Then we moved over to Harlem which is just next to it. One unforgettable moment: I fell down in Harlem. My high-pitched shriek must have shocked the guys around. All of them stopped dancing and tried to help me up. That was super embarrassing! I lost my stamina to 'exercise' till the wee hours so we leave at 3+.

Woke up pretty early to attend CJ talk in Yongsan. The session was held in a Cinema which I think is very smart cause the room and screen is big enough. They even arranged a free movie for us after the talk but I was snoozing throughout Dan in real life, only caught a glimpse of the front and the end.

Then we had chinese dinner. I've come to appreciate my mum's cooking. I miss steamed eggs, pepper chicken, peanut soup, long beans with scrimps and yong tau fau!



After that we went for more shopping in Edae again! Just love that street so much. We had dessert in Red Mango. Yogurt ice-cream with fruits and waffles. They are damn GOOD!

This Tuesday, Hye Young took me to Hongdae where she stays and where the Coffee Prince Cafe is situated at. I was so excited cause I get to see the actaual site! But..


Yes, Closed that day only!


Nevertheless we didnt dampen our mood and had our coffee elsewhere. Something I love about Korea is that there's coffee houses EVERYWHERE! And all the shops are very well-furnised! If I were to run a cafe, I will steal their ideas.




Then we went to Hye Young house for dinner. I really admire her cause she is staying only with her sis and is able take care of things well. Imagine doing laundry on your own for years!! And she cooks! We tried to make Hotteok cause she knows that is my favourite food in Korea. It isn't as easy as how I pictured it to be. The fillings came out and the whole Hotteok was in a mess. In the end, we just fried the dough and splattered the black sugar on top. It still tasted good okay!



End of week 6 in Korea and week 5 in schoool. Mid-terms is approaching but I'm still not studying. Going to bed now. chil-ja.
